Religious Education / Faith Formation

Religious Education

The Religious Education program at our parish is a community-based program staffed by volunteer catechists and supervised by the Director of Religious Ed. and her assistant. Our program consists of eight years of instruction and children need to complete at least 2 to 3 years before they receive any sacrament. To really benefit each child is expected to participate in the entire program. We are also here to assist parents and remind them of their responsibility to provide ongoing religious education for their children.

Religious Ed. Classes are on Saturdays from 3:00pm - 4:30pm in the Parish Center, and run from September thru June.

RCIA/RICA

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is for adults, 18 years and older, who never received any or all of the sacraments of initiation, which are Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation, and would like to complete their Christian initiation. Adults who were baptized into other Christian denominations and would like to become Catholic also participate in this program. The RCIA program teaches the ways of the Catholic Church and all that it stands for; it teaches the way of Jesus Christ and how he wants us to live as Christians with our neighbors. The classes are designed to bring the participants into a closer and more intimate relationship with God through the Catholic Church. Sessions take place after the 9:00 a.m. mass on Sundays from October to Easter where the sacraments are conferred at the Easter Vigil Mass.
